Stan Fitts will always be remembered as a driving force and unselfish advocate of boat racing, making the South Shore Outboard Association one of the premier racing clubs in the country. Stan may have been from Region One, but his heart and soul was the American Power Boat Association. His tireless work at APBA headquarters and positions held were a testament to the sport he loved.

Although an accomplished racer with a couple of National High Point Championships on his resume, it was his no nonsense business and administrative skills that we will remember. He still attended the South Shore Outboard meetings and his enthusiasm and passion were contagious. Stan will be missed by everyone that knew him.
